Published 10 October 2026 · Date checked on 5 October 2026 · Written by the Cue Card Converter team at EventProgrammer, event production professionals

The King's Birthday is a public holiday in Thailand on 28 July, honouring the birthday of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn, who was born in 1952 and has reigned since 2016. Portraits of the King, flags and yellow decorations appear on buildings and streets. Many people wear yellow, the colour associated with the King, and mark the day with merit-making, volunteer activities and evening candle-lighting ceremonies. Members of the public sign books of good wishes, and Thai embassies abroad hold ceremonies.
