About CueCardConverter
CueCardConverter is a free web tool that turns speeches, host scripts and presentation texts into printable cue cards. It is made by EventProgrammer, which builds software for event organisers.
Why we built it
At conferences, launches and corporate events, cue cards for hosts and speakers are usually prepared by hand in Word. That takes time, the layout differs from person to person, and a speech revised minutes before the event means preparing every card again. CueCardConverter does this preparation in seconds and keeps the same readable layout every time.
What it does
- Reads a Word (.docx) file or pasted text.
- Splits the text into cards of about 80–120 words at natural pauses; timed sections such as “06:30 – Welcome” always start a new card.
- Highlights names, titles, numbers, dates, times and stage cues.
- Lets you edit the text, highlights, card breaks, font, size and spacing.
- Prints one card per A5 page or two cards per A4 sheet with a cut line, and exports PDF, PPTX and DOCX.
How AI is used
The splitting and highlighting are done by a large language model (Claude, by Anthropic). The model is instructed not to change any words of your speech, only to divide it and mark highlights. AI can still make mistakes, so always review your cards before printing. If the AI service can’t be reached, the text is split on your device and you can add highlights yourself.
Free to use
CueCardConverter doesn’t require an account and is free to use. The site is supported by advertising.
